R. Saddam Hussain founded RURSAT Research Labs as the natural culmination of years of work at RurTech.AI — India's AI and AgriTech innovation engine. The deeper his team went into building crop intelligence systems, the more clearly the foundational problem emerged: the soil data feeding those systems was inadequate.
Rather than work around the problem, he built the solution. RURSAT Research Labs is the result — India's first laboratory dedicated exclusively to NIR and hyperspectral soil analysis, built with the scientific rigour of a research institution and the operational focus of a technology company.
His work is driven by a conviction that precision agriculture is not a luxury for large farms — it is a right for every Indian farmer.
